I didn't work for VANOC, but I worked for one of the world sponsors during the Olympics (I can almost be considered VANOC since I worked at VHQ).
I loved my job, loved the people that I worked with...the article hit it right on the dot for describing the type of people that are now drifting around looking for jobs.

Yeah...and here I sit, looking for a job that will be or even just close to as exciting as what I did before. Unfortunately not many people recognize the type of work I did and it is simply so hard to explain the scope of the work that I did.
The trick for me is to find a way to translate it into something that a potential employer can understand, esp. someone from the telecommunications industry.
