How is your car parked overnight?

Out of curiousity, how do you leave your car parked overnight?

I'm pretty anal about having my car in a covered area, so I always park my car underground, or covered while at malls and stuff, and I park my car as close as I can to the house, cause during the winter months I would wake up to find my car completely frosted up if I didn't do so.

Is your car parked :

On the street?
On the driveway?
In a gated and covered area (Like townhouses and apartments)
In the garage?
On the driveway but under a car tent thing?

Driveway or street.

Use to park under a car port, but i had the roof blow off once and a brick fell and broke my windshield.

on the street, infront of my neighbour's house

Is it bad for your car if not parked in a covered area?

jpark 05-03-2010 09:33 PM

UV rays, tree sap, flying debris, rain, etc....

Of course it's better to park in a garage or covered area but the reality is, not everyone has that luxury.

you're pretty much leaving your car out to the elements
hence why so many exotics are garaged

hchang 05-03-2010 09:44 PM

What does UV Rays do to the car in the long run?

All I know is that cars are a lot better parked in a garage or covered area, so I always try to do that, but I don't understand the effects of parking if non covered and exposed to rain and etc?

first the "What is your car?" thread, now "How is it parked?" thread, whats next, "Where do you live, what time do you go to sleep, and where do you leave your keys in your house?"

Well I park my car outside of my house on the street.

gated and covered area

Usually in a garage but most of the time its infront of the garage.

I hate parking on streets, the car seems so much more succeptable to damage/vandalism.

So... you have the option of parking it in the garage but you choose not to?

spoon.ek9 05-03-2010 10:29 PM

one i park in the garage (thankfully), the other stays on the driveway.
obviously i'd like to have both inside the garage but it's just not possible :(

Depends. I live at home still so if my dad gets home first he parks in garage, or if i need to go out later, i park on the street so my car doesnt get blocked in.

In a perfect world a 4 car garage would be best because then there is no compromise but that aint going to happen.

Garage. I had to park her on the front driveway for a week while the garage was full. I felt like I needed to apologize and tell her she'll have her room back soon!

Cereal Killer 05-03-2010 11:56 PM

I park on a street (infront of my house when possible) of medium traffic flow and fucking hate it cuz the car gets dirty so easily; due to natural causes and inconsiderate fucks (someone once threw a partially-eaten fudgesicle onto the hood ) Trying to convince my family to rid of some of the junk in the garages to clear up room for cars and to convert a part of the backyard into a driveway.

tonyvu 05-04-2010 12:36 AM

I always park in the driveway, undercovers

OTG-ZR2 05-04-2010 01:16 AM

I park on my lawn, cause its less grass I have to cut

Mugen EvOlutioN 05-04-2010 07:23 AM
