I don't understand how their protests are going to help them? You can't fix an economy through protests.

BaoXu 05-05-2010 02:40 PM

I think it's more like an urge/plea for politicians to do something. Nothing is gonna be done if they just sit on their asses. Someone's gotta do something

The bankrupancy of Greece won't just affect Greece but also other european nations as well, distablizing the world economy as a result. So we should give a shit about Greece damnit.

murd0c 05-05-2010 02:54 PM

Well, to be fair, when times r good, it makes sense. But who would have expect the economy would have a meltdown like what we'r having now.

Grim 05-05-2010 03:14 PM

3 dead??
rip.

AWDTurboLuvr 05-05-2010 03:14 PM

I expect Portugal and Spain to follow shortly and then UK, Ireland and Iceland as their bonds get demoted. All of a sudden, that $61 billion bailout a few weeks ago sounds like a great deal now. The soaring government debt worldwide is a huge issue.

Ducdesmo 05-05-2010 03:44 PM

The US will be next...

Mizter 05-05-2010 04:05 PM

Crazy shit..

trip 05-05-2010 04:44 PM

greece is fucking bankrupt, basically greece failing will domino effect to other EURO countries

USA will have the same effect on us and then some

they want a 160 BILLION dollar bailout from the EU, yet all these idiots wont work because their wages are being cut and taxes increased

So you want a bailout, and your country to get out of the red, yet your not willing to settle for a little less to make things work?

hmm.. sounds familiar..

http://www.brainandspinalcord.org/bl...m_logo_285.jpg

Fuck the euro and the european union, these vast unions/currency just fuck good/wealthy countries right in the ass and devalue their currency to the brink of nothing

I have relatives in Scandinavia who feel the impact of this whole greek situation every day, yet their countries are profitable and not in debt whatsoever, yet they are the ones asked to bail-out a have nothing place like Greece? Major industries which are prosperous have to lay-off employees because they are taking a hit from the bailout package, and Greece is only the first of many this is going to happen to

If a north american union was ever imposed i'd say BC and Alberta split off to form a new country and become amongst the wealthiest nations on earth, why let some mexicans who literally have nothing in terms of value completely devalue our currency?

no_clue 05-05-2010 05:06 PM

not only greece, but pay attention to spain as well...
it's going to be a great time to travel to europe.

optiblue 05-05-2010 05:13 PM

dang, wonder if that will ever happen in vancouver!

Yes, it will have an impact on all countries. Fucking assholes. Just when we were on the road to recovery.

Japan isn't far behind. They are so fucked over there, too.

The only difference with Japan is, they'll figure something out and their people will rally to the cause. A lot of pride over there. Something some other countries lack. Nuff said.

Alphamale 05-05-2010 06:34 PM

^Japan's been fucked for the last decade. Liquidity trap, anyone?

rsx 05-05-2010 06:40 PM

The Euro currency was never strong to begin with, they got all these other economically fragile countries to sign on for the all the wrong reasons and now...
