Bird shit residue

So today I climb uptop my car to put on a canucks antenna flag (i'm a bandwangener shoot me) and I notice a flock of birds decided to use the roof of my car as a toilet. I reckon the bird shit has been there for 2-3 days and my car has been expose to sunlight. I blasted the shit off however there is still a milky white residue left on the roof, I try quick detailer and turtle bug/tar remover spray wax. Didn't work.... I didn't fully wash the car becuase i just did that few days ago, I'm trying to not wash my car so often and create unneccesary swirl marks.

Did the bird shit already do damage to the clearcoat? What can i do? Now that I clean it up as best as I can, am I save to just let it be until the next week when I wash my car or is that milky residue going to continue eating into the clearcoat?

I fucking hate birds

EDIT: this is on a black car if it makes any difference

Bird shit is the worst.
It's why I carry a kit that includes a fresh MF towel, Instant Detailer and spare clay in my glovebox at all times.

That aside, if it's been there for a while the acids have now etched the clear coat.
Depending how far it's eaten away at it, you should be able to fix it with a polisher and something like a swirl remover or even a medium polish.

It's best to wash all of it off as soon as possible. Bird shit is quite acidic and will etch into clearcoat faster then you would expect, especially if it isn't protected by a good coat of wax/sealant.

Wash it again. IMO minimal swirling from washing is way less damaging than bird shit

Good god man, wash your car! It'll take you 30 minutes if you washed it recently. It'll cost you a g-note to paint the roof. Its your car, I'm just sayin........
