99 accord 2.3l

Hello everyone.. I just bought this 99 accord and the seller did not tell me about a major problems...

This accord stalls intermitantly... I've tried replacing the ignition coil, igniter, and the ignition switch. Once it stalls it won't start for about 3 mins then it starts just fine until it stalls again. Sometimes it stalls once a week and sometimes it stalls twice a day.. It is very dangerous because it stalls in the middle of the road.. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! It sounds like an ignition problem because it doesn't sputter it just dies so quickly...

after putting new ignition system you might want to look into fuel system like pump, filter lines etc, worth looking into

you should check the ignition switch. Earlier 98 accords had recalls in the US for the ignition switch intermittently shutting off.Apparently Honda Canada did not have recalls on canadian accord models. Ignition switchs also can become faulty through normal use, wear and tear.

Honda Canada does have a recall on 97-99 Accord on the ignition switches. Only certain VIN's though. this recall came out way back in 2002
