2011 Kia Optima Coupe comes with 200hp 2.4-liter inline-4 or 274-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 http://media.il.edmunds-media.com/ki..._42810_717.jpg http://media.il.edmunds-media.com/ki..._42810_717.jpg http://media.il.edmunds-media.com/ki..._42810_717.jpg |
why not make it a turbocharged 2.4L I4? :p |
looks better than the genesis |
i like this minus that grill |
thats just a photoshopped pic of the sedan optima |
front end looks like the current gen accord... any idea on prices? |
thats actually pretty interesting for kia to be doing with engines like that |
Are they taking old ass 4G63 and 4G64 and running them? the whole 2.4NA 2.0 turbo shebang is .....coincidence? |
^aluminum block theta series motor, not those lol |
thats damn sexy. I assume it'll be FWD? too bad.... |
and its still a fisher price pos kia |
fugly |
I must say it looks pretty good, Kia's have gone a long way but I still wouldn't buy one It looks like a mix up of already existing cars |

looks pretty good, not that I'll buy a Kia yet |
I'm not sure if the turbo 2.0 is coming to north america. They didn't bring that engine overseas with the koup, not sure why they would with this. |
you guys would be surprised at how many ppl buy kias and hyundais in the other provinces... in bc its all lux cars and suvs, i was in winnipeg and its all domestics mostly econ(TONS of old pontiacs, cavaliers, cobalts, etc) and if its import its a corolla or civic |
its nice but only 200hp from 2.4L? pssh |
really looks like the accord... how much will it be? |

white : they cant afford japanese or euro so they pick up korean cars, by saying its best bang for the buck Korean ppl...welll they buy korean cars. end of story |
its the same engine that is in the new hyundai sonata because.....well....hyundai builds kia.....and yes they do use the mitsubishi motors. the forte uses the lancer motor... and everyone can bang on about how they are pieces of shit...quite frankly hyundai and kia have been building half decent cars since the early 2000's in my opinion but they have only now sort of gotten into the horsepower race. also...hyundai and kia's car divisions are basically just long going experiments. hyundai is hardly cheap, all you have to do is look at their ships, their tractor equipment, and the other billions and billions of dollars in investments they own. |
Wow. Looks pretty nice. I'm proud of Kia. Quote:
