what to do?

so i really dont know what to do right now. bascially what happen was when i woke up this afternoon to go out, got to the car and notice that it got key along the whole driver side. it wasnt there when i came home last night at 4am. i know who did it, but is there much the police can do without evidence that they did it?

generally when you have an incident occur to your vehicle.

you would report 'vandalism' to the police (case number) and ICBC (case number)

this will get the ball rolling for you. ideally, this should be done asap

if you have bought comprehensive insurance, it should be covered with debatable.

but the thing is i already touched it up like couple hours ago, didnt want parents to get choked. but its really noticeable on the driver side fender and hood. the doors i touched up good. but only thing that is noticeable is the fender.

Why would you touch it up, just get it dealt with at ICBC and the whole side will get repainted
All you pay is deductible, your premium doesnt go up

flagella 05-16-2010 07:09 PM

^agreed, and seriously, confront the guy you think did this.

alex.w *// 05-16-2010 07:12 PM

i say leave it for now?

what if you get it fixed, and the guy comes back and keys again?

This sounds more like "It's a guy who I scammed/pissed off and I don't want my parents to know the whole story and get pissed at me for causing this to happen to my car".

A) ICBC, get it done easily.
B) Pay for it yourself, and suck it up hoping your parents buy the excuse that you make up for the car being missing for a couple days.

well bascially i got accused of keying my buddies car, when i was with him that whole night at lesters when it got keyed. so a month later he still think its me, comes up with a bunch of guys got jumped, left it alone didnt take revenge. those guys keep coming back egging the house, keying car, but this time i guess they got the car good, cause usually its parked in the garage. but last night got lazy cause came home at liek 4ish in the morning.

Groot 05-16-2010 08:34 PM

are you who i think you are..? =.=

fishing666 05-16-2010 11:38 PM

forget about the car and the house...u got problems elsewhere that you need to deal with. u'll want to make truce with these offending parties. confront them and make peace at some loss that you're willing to accept to prevent future problems. generally, they should be willing to make some sort of deal with you unless these are just punks that wanna damage stuff for their own reasons.

this sounds really serious... why dont you get a camcorder and have it recording the nights and you leave your car outside again... try to bait him and then you have your proof...

also let the police know about this...

if its been more then once that your family cars have been keyed then its serious...

What's your name, so we know you've been killed off when we read about your sorry ass in the newspaper next week?

Kaiten 05-17-2010 11:59 AM

What's with the trolls these days?

!Yaminashi 05-17-2010 02:17 PM

So they accuse you of keying your buddy's car even though you were with them the entire night, they jump you and egg your house/key your car?

Jesus, you need some new "friends" dude

noventa 05-17-2010 05:23 PM

you can call the Police non emergency line and tell them you are being harassed. Maybe a police officer will pay your friends a visit, if for nothing but to indicate that they are aware and you are willing to go to the police. After that, most high school kids will back off because they don't want trouble. As well, there is an alternative route you can take.
Young teenagers especially those from non broken families are usually poseurs. These guys only act tough in the precense of their peers. Coincidently, they are also the type to hide their gangster lifestyle from their family. What you need to do is teach them that if they are going ot engage in these type of activities they have to be prepared to go all the way. Therefore, you hit them where it hurts most. HOME. Go to their house, preferably when their entire family is home. Dinner is a good time. Start by setting their family car on fire. Hopefully they have an alarm it will go offf. When they come around to look at the car, sneak around back. If they have a BBQ propane, now would be a good time to attach your pipe bomb to it. Set it somehwere where it could cause massive destruction to the house. Make sure you do it in a way so that there will be no dispute that it is done on purpose. Now they won't be able to claim through insurance. Then follow them to the motel or whereever they are staying. Kill the villians parents and sibling while they sleep. Let the villian live. That way, he will suffer for the rest of his life.
