Renting A Car In Toronto

I will be going to Toronto for 5 days towards the end of this month. What are your suggestions for renting a car in Toronto? I've looked at the big 3 (Avis, Hertz, Enterprise) and I'm looking at $455-$500 for renting a Ford Focus or equivalent. There are going to be 5 of us so I'm not really wanting too small of a car like a Nissan Versa.

Where would you guys rent from in Toronto? All these rental companies are just charging stupid fees like the "Premium Location Charge." Mind you I'm under 25 as well so it will have to be from a company that will rent to this age group. Thanks.

If you pick up from the airport you'll get slapped with the premium charge but you really have no choice but to rent from the airport and I think most places will rent out to you if you're 25, I think you have to be older for SUVs.

Vehicle Type : Intermediate Class
Rental Period : 5 Days
Free Kilometers : 1500
Extra Kilometers : $0.16/Km
Ford Focus
Rate Information
Base Rate (CAD) : $200.20 ($40.04 per day)
Coverage Options :
$99.95 ($19.99 per day)
Collision Damage Waiver

Conservation Surcharge : ($0.50 per day) $2.50
VL/AC Fee : ($1.15 per day) $5.75
Location Premium Charge(13.43%) : $26.89
GST(5%) : $11.77
PST(8%) : $18.83
Estimate Total : $265.94

Yeah, renting from an airport is pretty pricey. I've never rented a car from Toronto so I don't know if any exist, but perhaps you can find a rental company outside the airport that offers a free shuttle to their facility?

Edit: Did a Google for off airport rental and came up with these:
