Window/Dash mounted cam?

Not sure if anyone would know, but I'm looking for a decent (not stupidly expensive) camera for recording our cruises.

Yes, I could get an HD camera from Future shop or Best buy, but then I would have to hold it.

Ideally the camera would come with some sort of suction cup mount.
Is there any store that would possibly carry something like this?

Get the HERO cam. Perfect for what you want it for.
I think they are around $350.

I've played with something similar to the GoPro one. It wasn't HD, and was around $200. I forgot who the supplier was again.

I'll dig around and see if I can find anything.

Damn that hero cam looks SWEET! That is absolutely what im looking for but I'm not sure if I'd want to spend almost $400 on a camera just to record cruises. But if Phil cant find anything I may have to go with that

I'll bring my hd cam if some one can fab a mount....

All I need is a mount where one side mounts on to the headrest bars and then a normal camera mount on the bottom .....

This one is pretty popular, don't know where to get it in Canada though...

Vision Tech BOYO VTR101. Has built in 2gb for a dash cam all in one, does sick features.
It will record and loop over automatically unless you hit a quick save feature. Also has built in G Analyzer so if upon impact of an accident, it will record and save and not allow to loop over recordings.

Also when you sync it with your computer, it will not only show the image but also google map with correlation of where you were as it was recording the image.

and reasonably price! =D

See Soundworks or Soundsgood for more information!

^ I love it !

i always want a cam like that for those "just in case" moments. How much is it roughly? and is it hardwired?

dohboi 05-19-2010 03:30 PM

Cigarette Adapter plug in! no hardwiring required.
