THE OP said to try to keep it under $20... $25 and down is good.. why would you give $35+???

AzNightmare 05-25-2010 07:48 AM

I've lost hope.
I cut my own hair now. Looks pretty good.
I pay these Japanese places $30 and they fail me.

ShadowBun 05-25-2010 03:14 PM

Yuka's gone though, isn't she?

And theirs another Yuka @ Tsubaki? O_O do you guys know if its the same one?

Suki's on Rupert by 22nd Ave.

Ask for the daughter.

Oh and it is not the Suki's that has multiple locations. This is a family owned place.

Passed by that place a couple times, never when I needed a haircut though. Might try that place sometime.

And just wondering, is the daughter better than the mom? (Since you said ask for the daughter)

Well, I think the daughter is better than her mom. I had both cut my hair and i like the daughter more.

Cost is 9 dollars but giving a 10, you can call it a day.

My gf didn't want me getting a $10 cut, anymore. I go to Samson, now. It's actually run out of a residence, but Sharon, the stylist/owner, converted the den into a studio. It's setup is like other stylists, only in a smaller space. Pricing is on par with other places for haircuts. My girlfriend introduced me, since her mom and her sister has been going there for awhile.

I gotten a few haircuts, and recently, highlights. What I like is her attention to detail. She will make sure her work is perfect before taking off your smock. She is definitely in her element. She's also a block away from my apartment.

Horrible recommendation. Probably the worse hair cut I've ever had - fuck this place. I usually bring a picture with me to show them how I want it but after looking at the picture, the lady pretty much made up her own style. Not only did she fuck my hair up, my shirt and shoes were covered in hair. I'm never going back to place and neither should any of you.

Was that criticism, or just another way to kindly ask for more information? :p

Her name is Mai 604-589-3690. I don't know the address, but it's around 140 and 110. She's closed Wednesday and Sunday. About 5' tall, middle-aged Vietnamese woman with long dark hair and heavy accent.
