Last year the Richmond one was open on Fri, Sat, Sun and any holidays. I would assume it's the same this year, not sure about Chinatown though.

Various websites still promote the Starlight Casino location to this date.... I wonder what's up with that? Is it actually happening there as well? Word on the street is that something called "Asian Market" or "Richmond Night Market" (instead of Summer Night Market) will be done with that piece of land....

But the previous posts say that the permits for Starlight location is withdrawn....? Can someone near Starlight go and check it out for us?

New West and and the casino were not the bad guys here. You should see the stunts he pulled for a similar 'night market' set up during the Olympics. A lot of honest vendors lost a lot of $$ in the process.

i went last week and there was a group of gangster poseur in the corner taking turn crip walking and gangster staring down ppl staring at them

well the previous owner was the one that did that little market by edgewater casino during the Olympics. He promised all the vendors this and that and none of those came up. Charged everyone a shit load of money for rent and everyone lost money. Told them that they'll get discounts at the market he wanted to do (the New West one) but that didn't happen so whole bunch of people got screwed

I heard that he even scammed the vendors for deposits at the New West night market as well, before disappearing.

heard from a lot of vendors that they did not get their money back
