I thought it was fake at first, but those pics are probably from the set of the movie with the make up or whatever covering the tattoos.

i did read online a few weeks ago that he's removing his tattoos. I'm not sure if it's all, but the arms, yes, only b/c that will get him more acting roles. Digitally removing them costs big bucks, so he's getting rid of his tats.
