^ probably an intimidating mood change? maybe he started going all apeshit before he decided his friend was possessed
did he know his tea had been laced with mushrooms before he drank it? i think that's going to be the deciding factor in his trial. if yes then it's his own fault for doing enough drugs to do some fucked up shit like this, if not then his lawyer's right, he probably didn't have control over his actions

^^^ yeah clarification on his 'mood' change needs to be addressed too; if it was simply emotional and not physical though...
and yes if he knowingly took hallucinogens his argument of being insane/etc is not considered with as much weight

what kind of mushrooms did he do?! All the times I've had mushrooms and mushroom tea the biggest mood change I've had is adventuring not mutilating
