Supra from Vancouver

So I was looking for a supra on craigslist and came across this.....

http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/cto/1758701482.html

bought it when it was still in Vancouver for $10,000 on craigslist...
http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...692703649.html

I'm still looking for a nice 6spd one, NON RHD

mugentsx 05-31-2010 08:36 AM

ewww auto

jpark 05-31-2010 09:26 AM

eww those rims

falcon 05-31-2010 09:38 AM

I think he was referring to the fact that it was $10k up here an now someone is selling it for 22k in FL.

Marioo1991 05-31-2010 09:59 AM

10k for an auto supra isnt that great... I almost picked one up last year with 60k kms, manual for 12-13k

BD2002 05-31-2010 10:06 AM

Auto/wheels/paint/dash

DO NOT WANT

1exotic 05-31-2010 10:49 AM

Twin Turbo Auto for 10k is a pretty standard price (actually quite below what most people sell for locally)... If it were manual it would be going for 15K + for RHD locally.

jtanner_ 05-31-2010 11:14 AM

Definitely remember when this was for sale... what a profit flip

Meister1982 05-31-2010 11:22 AM

EMMMM KAAAYYYY 4 LOL

why would you want to say that instead of MARK 4?

The abbreviation is longer than the original text. fail

hotong 05-31-2010 11:39 AM

someone should post the craiglist van link on the youtube comment.

my friend imported this car and sold it to this guy, when we drove it from the docks the paint was in shit condition so we had my paint guy paint the whole car.

I can't help but laugh at what the guy is saying 340hp!!!
fuckin bullshit, when I drove it this thing was slow as shit, I would floor it and the turbos wouldn't even spool up, I could not get boost!
Unless the new owner fixed all these issues he is bullshitting out his ass, and I call BS because he keeps mentioning how it's stock this stock that.

just a heads up to all potential buyers, ASK about the turbos and if they were fixed.... or better yet drive the damn thing, you'll see it drives like a 170hp car without torque. I couldn't believe I was driving a TT supra it was so fuckin slow.

the last Supra I drove was a LHD north american model, 1994 Auto TT supra as well years ago, and that thing was mostly stock but scary fuckin fast in a straight line, so when I sat in this thing I was expecting the same thing but it accelerated no faster than my mom's SUV, soooo disappointing

and yes unfortunately it was my friend you can blame for putting those nasty Konigs on, I told him not to do it they'd look butt ugly but he got a good deal on them

TheSalesman 05-31-2010 12:43 PM

JDM supras had 280hp.
I also thought that you cannot get these cars insured in the US.
I saw another post of someone selling their rhd supra because they don't have the same rules as us and he couldn't buy insurance and get the car legalized to drive.

hahaha...one of the comments on the youtube link says that car is easily worth 40k too! wow...

I saw the ad for 10k back then and didn't even call.

Mugen EvOlutioN 05-31-2010 12:48 PM

invader 05-31-2010 02:38 PM

Great68 05-31-2010 04:08 PM

"It's got automatic tiptronic, so you can shift like manual... or shift like automatic for girls"

Sorry son, both are for girls.

CP.AR 05-31-2010 04:34 PM

TRD Rs200 05-31-2010 05:28 PM

fugly rims, dash, paint, and fail to the fucker taking this vid

flagella 05-31-2010 05:30 PM

gross rim

jpark 05-31-2010 08:28 PM

dont get me wrong although i prefer 6spd supras with yummy getrag not ALL automatics are bad in supras if its a built automatic, its better for quartermile/drags because of less delay period.. idn im just saying this because i saw tons of fast supras which were all built automatics same goes for 2jz gte powered gs300's etc.

J____ 05-31-2010 08:56 PM

i dont get why you guys are trashing on his sale post. Someone can flip something and be able to sell it, that's good for them, it doesnt mean the buyers are getting ripped off. If there's a market down there for such a car because it's rare then sure it's worth double what he bought it for up here. I dont think the new buyers would care he only got it for $10k.

If you sold your house last year to someone and this year they're selling for 50k more than what you sold for, would you narc on him to his new buyers? no. I think someone is jealous they didn't get $22k instead of 10k.

there is potential

NeoDestinyZ 05-31-2010 10:00 PM

Reason why its slow because it's JDM, small injector, turbos etc. They perfected it here in North America, and you never know how many times those things get rolled back. Never get JDM for a Supra, those things get abuse so much over in Japan.
