Modding to a whole new level

Saw this on youtube. Pretty impressive for a 1 person job which includes building, filming, and editing.

14TB RAID 5 Array with 8 2TB Drives.

I don't quite get the purpose of having that much storage in what looks like a low power system. And I'm assuming the extra SSD is for the OS, but what's the 320GB for?

It's a NAS RAID array. Meant for data storage only.
