Not to mention Marbury developed heel problems from wearing his shitty $15 low budget shoes. He denies this claim but who do you believe?

To sum things up there is no one perfect shoe. I'd try to have a pair of dedicated runners at the very least (your shins, feet and rest of your body will thank you later.) You might be able to get away with 2 pairs (runners + cross trainers) depending on how serious you play some sports.

If you're planning on playing indoor Basketball competitively then there's no way you can get around with a pair of "all-purpose" shoes. On the other hand if you're playing casually outdoors then you may be able to get away with wearing a pair of cross trainers.

Just buy the best pair of shoes you can afford. Similar to if you played hockey you'd want to buy the best pair of skates you can afford because you use them the most out of any piece of equipment. Your game will suffer if you cheap out.

what store would you look for cross-trainers?

I bought a pair of nike lunarfly and they are great for tennis/cardio.

I use them for weights, but I go barefoot for squats.

That looks very good. Where would be a place you'd recommend to shop for athletic shoes in Van?

I tried the lunarfly at footlocker, looks as good as it seems and feels light and nice. But I didnt get it because the insole support was a bit odd, the support seems to be too close to the heel of my foot. How unfortunate, they were nice.

I wear ball shoes for everything. I can't afford numerous pairs of shoes for everything, so I bought a decent pair of basketball shoes and have been very happy.

try badminton shoes, they are light, have good traction and have excellent ankle support.. the only down side is the soles are non marking XD

best bet is to buy a shoe for every sport.
An all around shoe is not the greatest.

Don't need to spend $300. There's lots of good running shoes $200 or below, assuming they fit. Asics 2000 series, one of the best selling runners for over a decade.

Lunars are sick shoes. Someone on here suggested them to me last year, I run 4 miles on them everyday since last year and they're still like new.
