There's a lot of medical work that isn't nursing though. Care aides in particular are probably going to be one of the highest growing medical fields. They work in people's homes, in nursing homes, in assisted living facilities, in pallative care facilities (personally I think the assisted living jobs are the best jobs in that field).
There's also a lot of recreation and therapudic rec fields that will be very high demand for the baby boomers (some already are) that don't require the medical yuck and are more revolving around keeping aging people active and engaged so that they remain healthy.
