Yeah.. you can also find your post-secondary professors here on the list. Some of my professors @ sfu makes well over $100k, and NONE of them seem that ballin.

jackmeister 06-19-2010 09:24 PM

rageguy 06-19-2010 10:01 PM

I'm amazed to see some of the profs I know at UBC makes that much. All of them have 6 figures.

blankdisk 06-19-2010 10:16 PM

before tax... they should fall into the highest income bracket too.. I think it's 40.7% or more..

so they don't really take home $100k+/yr...

in terms of incomes its not that much money... if you consider what you get after taxes and the costs of living... you're not left with much

so $100k - income taxes pension ei = $55k - food, housing costs, clothing, transportation, etc etc etc (based on average figures these categories total roughly $50k just for your necessities) - HST associated with this = :( and if you have children it = :crybaby::die:

president of Kwantlen makes $120k

StylinRed 06-19-2010 11:40 PM

twitchyzero 06-19-2010 11:44 PM

making $100k isn't really all that much considering the cost of a decent house in metro vancouver is gradually getting close to the 1M point
i'm also curious, when they mention public servants...does that generally mean it's funded by the provincial or federal government?

J____ 06-19-2010 11:45 PM

ya once u hit 100k+ its 45% to the government... FUUUU
