OpenRoad Scion Project

It took a long time, but this fall, Scion will finally be introduced in Canada. To kick things off, my company, OpenRoad Auto Group, has built a custom Scion to help launch the brand. Among the laundry list of mods, O-Zilla has a couple of special features including a slide-out DJ booth and three LCD TV's that retract from the roof.

There will be a launch and demonstration of the vehicle at OpenRoad Toyota in the Richmond Automall this Thursday at 10:30AM if anyone is free and wants to check it out. They will be demonstrating the vehicle and have hip-hop dancers on hand to do a performance.

IMO, it's a SEMA quality job and definitely worth checking out. If you miss this event, look out for "O-Zilla" at community events throughout the summer.

And if you're interested in checking out the new Scions, they will hit dealerships around October.

I totally agree. Not my cup of tea.

However, as a vehicle that is meant to appeal to a more mainstream audience that isn't so much into the "scene", Lambo doors will have their appeal.

lol. It will be driven around to various community events throughout the summer from what I understand. It will be at night market for the upcoming weekend.

I think that's kind of the point. For it to stand out as a promotion for Scion and OpenRoad.

I always thought it should stand out as a NICE appealing vehicle rather than stand out like a sore thumb wow that's nasty then point and laugh type of stand out.

RC0310_EJ 06-22-2010 12:33 AM

are we gonna get the Scion IQ?

PDA_86 06-22-2010 12:54 AM

It would be great to have Scion in Canada. This would, for sure, interest more youth and give people more choices for cars.

JiggaZed 06-22-2010 02:01 AM

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't headlight tint illegal?

felixy69 06-22-2010 02:50 AM

i bet the car was build by someone in the USA....

i think it would be better if OPEN ROAD being a Canadian company, would bring business for CANADIAN builders.

either way..good to see dealers ships getting into tuning cars :)

I miss the original xB, the efficiency and box shape was much better used then this current version

The car was built by 360 Fabrication of Abbotsford, B.C.

Some folks might remember the Green F350 pick-up and matching motorboat they built that were on display at DTP a couple of years back.

Hahaha, I'd love to. Let me know your employee # ;)

j/k!

What do you do there? I've noticed there are quite a few OpenRoad employees on the forum. Let's have an RS table at the next Christmas party.
