Motorcade Today

Anyone know who is in town today?

I saw a motorcade today on the Arthur Laing going northbound, complete with the northbound bridge closure (I was heading south), and a crapton of VPD officers on motorcycles. The motorcade wasn't tiny either, there were at least 5+ black and tinted Lincolns.

This was at around 12:30PM today (6/22)

Just thought maybe someone on RS would know!

yep I'm pretty sure it was just a practice run because when I was going east on west 4th today they were going west towards ubc/spanish banks. Then they pulled a uturn and went east and came up behind me. I was at a redlight and one of the motorcycle cops came in the middle of the intersection, stopped, told me to turn right. I told him to fuck off, turned right then took the back alleys all the way to the street before burrard. I almost got ahead of them but there were too many stop signs on the way I know, kinda stupid but felt like I was in the bourne ultimatum or some shit I think they turned right on burrard.

^^ Hate the French as much as you want, but they sure know how to put on a show.

As for the Cadillac limo... I didn't realize just how effin' ugly it actually was.

Canadian PM's and reps are always low-key. It's because they don't really have a lot of power

and of course

we know motorcades just attract more attention

if there's a sniper..chances are they can probably kill whoever is in the car regardless of bulletproof glass

if i was planning security for obama, id have the craziest motorcade for him include air support.

n then ill transport mr. president in a bread delivery truck to the destination using an alternate route. ultimate ploy.
