Any place to buy printer toners at lower price?

I never understood why a freaking printer toner costs more than 1/2 the price of the printer. Is there any place where I can buy toners at a cheaper price? Like an online store.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Do you know if there are any places local so I don't have to deal with shipping and wait times?

*Shake* *Shake* *Shake* and monoprice.com are your best bets.

Just be sure to do the side-to-side shake outside in case any toner puffs out while you do this.

http://www.123inkcartridges.ca

They have an office near Jacombs and Cambie, in Richmond. Just call their office and let them know what you want and when you'll pick it up, then pay in person.

yeah i use 123inkcartridges. they don't clog up like island inkjet(the ones inside malls).

even works pretty well on my canon printer which requires chipped cartridges.

+2 for monoprice. Get all the colors (assuming u have a color laser) to spread out the shipping cost.

London Drugs has half-decent toners for cheap. You do have to give them your old cartridge though.

Everybody knows there's no $ to be made in the printer itself, so they have to make $ off the toner cartridges. If you think that sucks, try owning a colour laser printer that uses 4 cartridges with lameass embedded chips with a set expiry date regardless of use!

It could be worse - it could be just one cartridge that forced you to throw away the whole thing even though you got plenty left in one color!

Have they devised anything to reset the chips on the cartridge? I know my inkjet cartridges are chipped and I've got a resetter for that I use to reset it. I just keep re-using the original chips and slide them into empties that I get from 123Inkjet.

The London Drugs (Certified Data) toners are for certain HP printers only though. They also do not have the newer (35A/36A) monochrome toners, or the color toners.

But if you're using an older HP printer, they work great!

Are you guys satisfied with your non-oem cartridges? I've only tried those from a local business named Vita (they have a location in Richmond and at Metrotown), but was not able to print as much as i did with an oem cartridge

I have an non-oem one from monoprice. ALthough it gives an error message, it prints without any problem. I'll gladly pocket the 40 bucks I saved

I bought mine off eBay. It was something like $25 if I remember correctly.

This....

I bought one 2 years ago and I haven't even used half the ink it came with. I have a feeling that when the ink is all used up, I'll be buying a new printer anyways.
