Tag anyone?

Does anyone here play tag with their vehicles (cars/trucks/scooters/bikes)?
Might be a good idea to start a game similar to motorcycle tag here like this

http://www.bcsportbikes.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=119745

Anyone interested?

Gh0stRider 06-26-2010 08:39 PM

I've read about it on bcsb. I never tried it before.

Its quite fun and addicting, but the game there only have bikes playing. It would be fun to have all motorvehicles playing. It could be done year round.

There are few members here that I know plays (bcrdukes/taylor192/?)

:)

bcrdukes 06-26-2010 11:04 PM

In all honesty, I would much rather NOT participate in the BCSB MC Tag series simply because, the rules are far too anal. :p

I wouldn't mind if we started it on Revscene. And hello 4WheelsLESS! :)

4WheelsLESS 06-27-2010 07:31 AM

Sounds like a plan, but do we have enough interest here? :)

bcrdukes 06-27-2010 10:32 AM

Maybe not in the Sportbike section, but I think we would have much more interest in the Vancouver Auto Chat side in the "Spotted" forum.

stewie 06-27-2010 10:50 AM

i wouldnt mind tryin this out :)

SilverBlitz 06-27-2010 12:34 PM

i'll try it out so who's going to setup the rules? lol

bcrdukes 06-27-2010 01:13 PM

This is just my own opinion but rules really ruin the game (at least for me it did.) I think the only rule should be the 24-hour rule where if it's not found, a new one can be posted up. :)

SilverBlitz 06-27-2010 04:32 PM

24 hours seems a little quick 48 hours?

tegz 06-27-2010 08:16 PM

I'd be down... We should set up a boundary tho...!

I'd fail surrey and delta so hard !!!

4WheelsLESS 06-28-2010 06:24 PM

OK, Here is my take on things and please do offer your opinions as you the players are the ones that will play the game. The motorcycle tag over BCSB has been going on over the last 3 years so there are much trial and errors already "been there, done that" scenarios. Much of the rules were copied from a guy from Toronto that a member from BCSB copied and amended over the last few years. The reason the rules are there because of potential flaws in the game (potential loopholes) and only rules are what is needed to settle those flaws or disputes. I wouldn't want any of those disputes be settled over a knuckle wrestling session nor thumb wrestle match ;) .... I think most of those rules work quite well and if we all agree, we should let the tag go 48 hrs. However, I am a proponent for a shorter 24 hrs as I like things to go a bit quicker pace. We should amend the rules to include cars/trucks/scooters/bicycles?/etc?, that way we get a good number of people to play.

HR requires at least 3 mods to look after this game from start. Duties will include enforcing rules and updating score sheet. If people want to we could start as soon as 1st week of July and run as long as people as interested because we are including all kinds of vehicles (not just sport bikes).

Awaiting your comments and volunteers.

bcrdukes 06-28-2010 08:47 PM

I'm down for this but my work schedule does not allow for moderation et al.

I can propose the idea to the Moderator team in case it gets preemptively nixed.

4WheelsLESS 06-28-2010 09:41 PM

Sounds good bcrdukes. We would setup the spreadsheet via gmail and allow the score keepers access. Anyone can start it. Thanks for taking it another step. :)

bcrdukes 06-28-2010 09:44 PM

No, sir. Thank YOU!

Is the BMw back yet? :)

4WheelsLESS 06-28-2010 09:51 PM

Hopefully tomorrow 'tuesday'...before Canada Day! They ordered my parts last week and was supposed to be 2 days ETA. Therefore, if the parts arrived tomorrow then I should have it back by end of day....I got so much work done for the last week though! ;)

bcrdukes 06-28-2010 10:01 PM

LOL!

Seems like the BMW dealer network is good.

Unlike Ducati. :p

4WheelsLESS 06-28-2010 10:09 PM

I like Ducati's too, but I think would be more of something around town bike. But if it's around town, then I'd rather go with a Vespa...less gears to put on... I actually test ride a Vespa 200 the day after my bike broke down :) ....it was in Langley and the guy wanted $5300 for it which was only worth $4300 tops per Bluebook.

bcrdukes 06-28-2010 10:38 PM

Try Vespa Surrey. They have some good deals going on right now!

truth 06-28-2010 10:56 PM

I've been following it on BCSB as well, looks really cool. Wouldn't mind giving it a try.

bcrdukes 07-03-2010 09:54 PM

Okay so here is the verdict:

Nobody opposed this idea so we are GOOD TO GO!

Anybody who wants to volunteer as the game moderator is much appreciated. 4WheelsLESS?! :D

4WheelsLESS 07-03-2010 10:00 PM

I'm going to be away a lot for the rest of July and 1st week of August. I won't have the time to mod. I really want to get this started and feel like getting ahead a bit by bringing it up....so was hoping some other people would like to volunteer...like taylor192 or bcrdukes :)

bcrdukes 07-03-2010 10:09 PM

LOL!

I would love to but my work schedule is pretty packed this month and next month. :(

Gh0stRider 07-04-2010 08:53 AM

i nominate bcrdukes :)

Correction: The rules for BCSB are too anal! :D maybe I'll be unbanned one day.

It would be a great game on RS cause there would be far more players if cars were allowed. Unfortunately this means the rules might have to be more strict, otherwise some people would find it impossible to get started in the game as loose rules would encourage fast tagging by a small group.
