gst/hst credit $62.50
bc climate action tax credit $26.25
bc hst credit $57.50

total $146.25

time to fill up on beer

You guys do understand why you're getting this money right? It's to offset these taxes. So the theory is, if you don't spend aas much you save more.
If you don't drive, you don't have to pay the extra tax at the pump. But, you still get the bc climate action money.
So this is supposed to promote using public transit or get you to dec. Using your car. It is rewarding those who do not drive.

The same goes for the hst/gst rebate. The less you spend the more you actually save.

It's like a kick back.

HST referendum results expected in August

The B.C. government says the results of the HST referendum will not be announced until August, under a new timetable for the mail-in vote laid out on Friday.

According to the new timetable Elections BC will start mailing out referendum ballots for the HST to all registered voters on June 13 and by June 24 the majority of British Columbians are expected to have received the ballot.

The last day for unregistered voters to request a ballot from Elections BC will be July 8, and by July 22 completed ballots must be received by mail by Elections BC.

It will take several weeks for Elections BC to count the ballots, meaning the results of the vote are expected in August.

The referendum question will be: "Are you in favour of extinguishing the HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) and reinstating the PST (Provincial Sales Tax) in conjunction with the GST (Goods and Services Tax)? Yes/No."

I have banking with TD. My tax refunds is from "Canada RIT" and my GST credits is from "Canada FPT"

On a side note, my gf parents did not file their 03 and 04 tax returns. Got an extra 877.50 GST and 300 tax refund. For 2 minutes of work that is pretty good. Just couldnt efile, had to paper file it...

I have some friends that never filed their taxes since their were 19. :fullofwin:

yogenfruz 04-10-2011 11:15 AM

I haven't gotten anything still. I guess I won't be?
