Mustang driver pwns Viper driver

Quote:
A 32-year-old Knoxville man was struck and killed by another vehicle this morning as he stood on the road examining the damage to his vehicle from a previous crash.

Daniel L. Akers of Idlewood Lane was on his cell phone waiting for his father to come to the phone when he was struck at 2:01 a.m., according to the Alcoa Police Department Lt. Paul Gilbert. Akers was pronounced dead at the scene.

"He was talking to a relative," Gilbert said.

Akers had been eastbound on Pellissippi Parkway when the 2000 Dodge Viper he was driving left the road and struck the concrete median barrier just west of the Topside Road interchange. Akers, who was not seriously injured, got out of the car and called his mother about the crash, Gilbert said.

...

At the same time, Kenneth W. Truss, 28, of Wheeler Road in Louisville was eastbound on the parkway in a 2007 Ford Mustang, police said.

Truss told police he swerved to avoid Akers' crash at the same time Akers "stumbled into the road into his path of travel," police said in a press release.

All jokes aside this should serve as a warning for those idiots who stop in the middle of traffic to look at their "damages" when they bump the bumper of another car, or people who don't pull off the road to change a tire.

Please be aware of your surroundings and don't assume that drives can see you. More than likely they''ll be looking at your busted car than at you.

would you call your mom on the side of the road as soon as you got hit if it was your own car? or would you wait until you got home and then call her.

probably was his fathers car and he was borrowing it for something, its not his 'daddys' car because the guy who was killed was 32years old, that 'daddys' car thing stops after you hit a certain age.
