you already filed a complaint.

like others said already, if you don't like it there then don't shop there.

there's extra foods just up north road and superstore on lougheed just east of there.

i would only go to H-mart for korean stuff. korean drinks, snacks, sauces, specific ingredients etc...

just go to superstore or costco for everything else.

but thanks for letting us know.

Maybe they're letting stores set individual prices?

Sort of related, does anyone know if they still sell 10 green onion stalks for a dollar?

*edit: never mind, saw actual flyer, its for local stores.
NCIX does this too for things like monitors that are 'too low to show' - this is to get customers to come in, for sure. haha
wrong. They change it when you add it to the cart. It's due to MSRP prices and rules they set.

costco in canada isnt that good. They're prices arent that cheap... sometimes even more than superstore. If prices arent that cheap, why would i even want to buy bulk.

Costco in the states on the other hand.... nothing beats it. Including their gas! 30 cents / gallon cheaper. than a shell next door.

the main reason for that is the initial sell price could fluctuate from the time the coupon is published... most of the time fluctuating down... depending on timing, if it's going up then the ideal practise is to hold and implement the increase post coupon

the competition act attempts to prevent retailers from fluctuating their price up right before a coupon

Not really, but there's a semi-cute white chick working there. The rest are old hags.

I don't think this is a matter of ethics.

I think it's more so a matter of business sense.

If a customer sees a H-Mart flyer with no prices, they have two choices: 1) Go to H-Mart and see what the prices are; or 2) Go to another supermarket that does have prices in their flyers

If they chose option 1, then when they get there, they will realize two things: 1) Prices are good here, and I'll continue going here even though it's a little less convenient not knowing the prices in advance; or 2) Prices aren't good there, and I will probably go to other supermarkets in the future because it's a lot more convenient knowing the prices in advance.

I suspect that if anything, their decision to not put prices on the flyers will be detrimental to their business. I don't think they'll gain any new customers by doing this, but I think they will lose some existing customers.
