Wonder why so many S2000's r for sale?

Use to be only like 1-2 being sold on here now there's like 10-12...
Is it because the weathers nicer?
Not in the market for one but I'm just amazed how 6-7-8 year old cars fetch such a premium. There's a few US importer flippers though but the S2000 fad is over. This is coming from someone who used to have a raging hard on for this car.

S2000s were only cool for a bit. Too many around now, and they are so affordable that anyone can buy one.

And now for a serious post. If you judge the price of a vehicle by how old it is, you fail at buying cars.

Would you shit your pants if I showed you how much a 6-7-8 year old ferrari sells for?

They "fetch" such a premium because they are in demand, and well made vehicles that hold their value well.

If you don't like it (Which you stated you didn't) then dont buy one.

The main reason for having so many S2000's on sale now is that no one wants to own one anymore since Larry Chu has a baby blue one.

People change their needs and priorities as they move on in life.

Might have a family or need to get a house or moved downtown so takes public transit or upgraded cars?

For whatever reason it gives more people a chance to enjoy a very good car.

Problem is douchebags like the one mentioned above will give S2000's a bad name.

OP just sounds a bit bitter because for whatever reason he can't get one himself. this reminds me of a quote: "water water everywhere and not a drop to drink."

and yes the douchy mcdouche mentioned above has certainly made quite the impact on the S2000 scene. for the negetive of course, but impressive none the less.

not even 50%, when i bought my s2k in 2001 brand new it was 49K plus tax if i recall.

S2k's for 2001 are selling about 13k now?? i dunno havent looked, so its selling for about 25-30% of what it once cost

^ Hard to find one in good condition locally for that price. It will usually have many accidents, dents/dings, tears on convertible top, and really high kms.
