i don't get it. the only reason people think these cars are cool is because they've seen people drift with them. These cars are such an eye sore to look at.

^ To each his own, bud. It's all about the taste that people have. I appreciate a nicely done and TASTEFUL car, and this AE86 is a prime example of one.
If you saw a 240SX done similarly, would you still have the same opinion?

86'es would always look different compared to modern cars..
alot less bulky too. and i like slimmer cars like these actually... all depends on whos taste.
