Street racing ends tragically in Mission

1 Attachment(s)
I didnt see it happen but I saw the aftermath.
Anyways at about 10:30 In Mission on N. railway street two cars decide to street race just after coming back from the Mission friday night drags (they where racing on the track to might I add).
Me and friends where about 2 blocks away at the local diner and hear tires screaching and Engines reving, didnt think to much of it, then all of a sudden we see about 7 cop cars go flying down the road, a friend turns on his police scanner and hears there are two cars street racing, one crashed and people where stuck inside while the other car fled the sceen.
Out of curiosity we head down there to see by far the worst accident I have EVER seen. The car was so bad you couldnt even tell what it looked like, it looked like someone turned the car inside out.
My brother who works for a flagging company got called to the sceen to work, I later text him and asked what happend.
The car that crashed was Going over a little hill and turn going 100K lost control got air on the hill flipped completly sideways went flying about a half block down went through a pole broke the car in 3 halfs and hit a building causing the cars cab to smah in. Both people in the car died right away, the Engine in the car went flying 50 feet down the road.
Very sad but very real street racing is a serious bad thing like i said never seen anything worse then that. The even sader thing was in that the car which was a brand new Camero was just at the mission track racing.
I havent seen anything on the news yet about it so i thought i would just share and hopefuly this makes people that are dumb enough to street see that, that could have been them!.
the pictures i have are burry but those are the only ones i have
the car is on the right you cant even tell what it was its so sad RIP to the two people that passed away in the accident. and Just thank god no one els was hurt.

Glad they only hurt themselves. Good riddance, they could've hurt someone else.

This is very sad to hear, I hope it wasn't the black new camaro that was running his car, I was at mission last night and remember that vehicle. RIP

That can't be good PR for MRP or the Street Legals programme, which was promoted as a way of curbing street racing.

HollyZ32 07-17-2010 09:30 AM

holy crap, looks horrible...

punkwax 07-17-2010 11:36 AM

What a shame. Responsible enough to take it on the track, not responsible enough to keep it there.

RIP

HollyZ32 07-17-2010 11:41 AM

Correction they where not going 100, they where going 160

Leopold Stotch 07-17-2010 11:44 AM

wait, it was a brand new camaro?

i know they were going fast, but i thought it'd hold up better than that.

No way it would have going 160 catching air hitting a pole sideways and then wrapping itself around the corner of the brick building no way

greendb7 07-17-2010 12:29 PM

there are still idiots out there who street race?

simsimi1004 07-17-2010 12:40 PM

Hydro pole 1 : Camaro 0.
pole was perfectly fine after crash... lol

124Y 07-17-2010 12:44 PM

Wow... how tragic...
Even though these 2 fucktards jeopardized the lives of people on the street, R.I.P. to them.

TomBox_N 07-17-2010 01:51 PM

Well, the driver deserved it. But I dunno about the passenger. He could be just tagging along and got on the wrong car.

I was at the drags yesterday for the Supra nationals, there were a lot of dumb rednecks with their American Cars around there... wouldn't be surprised if it was one of them.

The passenger could've told the driver that it was a stupid idea to race and stopped them or gotten out.
