Free unlimited(no time limit) parking near Kits beach???

Hey, I need a quick response. Planning on heading down to Kits in a couple hours. But need a parking spot which I can leave my car at until after fireworks.

If I have to walk 5 mins or so to kits beach, I'm fine with that.

I'm not really familiar with the area so I don't know where.

Thanks

100 free internetz for everyone that suggests a reasonable area.

Busters' impound lot is only a 10-minute walk to English Bay... you don't have to pay to put your car in there.

Great service. They also offer valet parking from anywhere in the city

cool

flagella 07-24-2010 10:34 AM

Wow, I never knew there were free parking lots for fireworks.

Blinky 07-24-2010 11:08 AM

It's a 10 min or so walk, but there's a fair bit of non-resident parking on 5th and 6th avenues on either side of Burrard. On the east side of Burarrd are a bunch of areas with shops and the like and there is some parking there.

To the west of Burrard are a bunch of lowrises. A lot of parking is resident-only but there is some space for nonresidents.

some ppl really need to get out,
you want free parking and only expect to walk 5 mins, lol
kits is mainly permit parking, meter parking and there are a few spots where there is free one hour street parking. The closest free parking you'll find is probably main st and second ave along the industrial buildings there, but that's probably a 30-40 min walk to kits beach, not like the 5 min you dream of, lol.

there's a parking lot right on kits beach, if you don't want to walk, don't be cheap and pay

Yah the parking lot on kits beach is good. You can pay for all day but if you're looking to have a place to leave it over night, youre best bet is 4th ave and up

Its not that im "cheaping out". I just want parking semi close to kits, NOT english bay. 5 mins was just a number I put out there. 5,10, 15 mins is fine too.

I also don't want to park at the beach directly cause I dont want to get stuck there with everyone leaving aftrr
the show.

Thanks to those offering legit suggestions.

btw im looking for parking later today until after
the fireworks. not long term/over night parking.

BlacknJean 07-24-2010 11:56 AM

good luck cheap ass

Eff-1 07-24-2010 11:57 AM

Sure you can park in my driveway.

Just kidding.

wobuffet 07-24-2010 12:30 PM

why don't you park somewhere further away for free...and take a bus there.

MWR34 07-24-2010 12:56 PM

there is a few no limit parking spots by rogers video on york st. @ yew st.

ASG111 07-24-2010 03:08 PM

can you watch fireworks at kits beach?

Mr.HappySilp 07-24-2010 03:12 PM

Just take a taxi if you don't want to get stuck after fireworks.

metal 07-24-2010 03:18 PM

That would defeat the whole "not paying" aspect.

TOS'd 07-24-2010 08:13 PM

Holyy crap some of you dont read.

I had to drive down there because I needed to bring things I could not carry or fit on a bus. I was not looking for a paid parking spot. I needed to park for over 8 hrs. And didn't want to park at the kits parking lot because it would be a nightmare to get out of there.

Anyways I found a perfect spot already.

Keep in mind that Vancouver has parking time limits besides those posted. Fortunately for you, I think they only apply during weekdays, but you should still remember that they exist, even if there aren't signs.

Then again, why are we being helpful when you're being such a whiner?

This is the problem. Hence why you are being ridiculed.

Actually that bylaw is 7 days a week but in the end it's a weak ass bylaw anyways.

area near MCL has free parking on certain blocks of spots. i park there.. but parking spots must be fought for everymorning. first come first serve.
