911fanatic vs 04 Porsche Turbo Cab It's been a while since I posted any of my work as things have been a wee bit busy. This Client was given my number by his neighbour 4 MONTHS ago. Its an 04 Turbo Cab with the factory X50 motor option - makes 440hp. 0-60 is supposedly mid 4 seconds which I will attest to during my own little test. Holy crap is this thing fast! Client picked it up last year. Car presently has 25,000 kms on it ( approx 15,000 miles ) All jambs, motor, emblems etc were cleaned with a citrus cleaner and RG brushes. Car was presoaked in citrus cleaner to get rid of any remnants of a previous LSP and rinsed. Washed with DG901 Carwash soap and RG wash mitt. I didn't clean the wheels at this point as they were really bad and I knew I'd be removing them. When the time came, the barrels were carefully cleaned with a mild acid based cleaner and washed down with soapy water to neutralize any acid remaining. The faces and tires were cleaned with AG Custom Wheel Cleaner. Inner fenders, suspension etc were cleaned with AG Powermax3 mixed 4:1. Inner fender liners were dressed with Gloss it TRV. Exhaust tips were cleaned with P21S Polishing Soap and dressed with Blackfire All Metal Sealant Paint was cleaned with Exclusive Medium Clay As the paint was in great shape other than a few scratches on the passenger side, I thought I'd try the New Optimum Spray Polish. Worked o to remove light carwash damage but even with the GI Yellow pad, it couldn't remove the light scratches that were present although it did hide them a bit. Menz SIP on the same pad got rid of the scratches completely. After polishing with SIP/Uber Green and my PC, the car received 2 coats of Gloss it Gloss Finish. Wheels were finished with Blackfire All Metal Sealant and Tires were dressed with Swissvax Pneu. All exterior trim was dressed with Gloss it TRV. All glass cleaned with ShowroomFX glass cleaner. Interior was wiped down with AG Interior Shampoo and seats were cleaned and conditioned with Raceglaze. TOTAL TIME - 12 hours http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0074.jpg Before's http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0075.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0077.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0078.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0079.jpg Very dirty IForged 3 piece wheels. Barrels were so dirty we had to remove them to clean them properly. :( http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0080.jpg Carbon fibre wing was really scratched up and needed a lot of polishing to bring it up http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0081.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0083.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0084.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0085.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0086.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0087.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0088.jpg All jambs etc were cleaned with a citrus cleaner that I am still testing! LOL http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0089.jpg Beading before means some type of LSP still hanging out. http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0090.jpg After a citrus soaking and rinse - bye, bye. http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0091.jpg Claying with our new Exclusive clay revealed little contamination http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0092.jpg Only damage on car were a few light scratches on passenger side. http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0093.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0094.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0095.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0096.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0097.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0098.jpg Avg reading - looks good. http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0100.jpg Found a few areas like this - glad we didn't need to do any heavy polishing. http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0101.jpg Thought I'd use one of the light scratches to test the new Optimum Spray Polish http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0104.jpg I opted to spray it on the panel this time. http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0105.jpg Polished with the PC on speed 6 with the GI Yellow Polishing Pad http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0106.jpg Cleaned up the scratch a bit but wasn't able to remove it. Menz SIP removed it completely. http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0107.jpg The optimum did give the paint a nice refection though. I'd say it'll make a good finishing polish but it just doesn't have the ability to remove scratches. http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0109.jpg Inside of wheel barrel. http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0001.jpg Passenger side inner fender detailed http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0002.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0003.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0004.jpg Calipers got 2 coats of Blackfire All Metal Sealant http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0005.jpg Engine cleaned and dressed with AG Silicone Spray http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0006.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0007.jpg Result of inner barrel cleaning http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0008.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...b/DSC_0011.jpg Stock turbo comes with 265s.
