warning!! lowered vehicles should avoid 41st for a while!
 

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but I was driving down 41st between cambie and fraser and they have ripped up the old road for a new one. Huge pot holes are risen up and could potentially dmg your bottom end if you're lowered. So avoid that area if you can!

Fuck was in buddy's car this was brutal man.

41st Avenue sucks to the bone. Vehicle manufacturers should use it as a test track.

Just came back from there too. They've ripped up the asphalt westbound and it becomes one lane each way between Main and Cambie. Eastbound is OK but they'll probably rip that up soon too but traffic is starting to get backed up.

I use 41 to get to my GF's house, and that has always been meh even without construction.

but think it'll be nice new pavement after... for 2 weeks till someone else digs it up.

On the same note..
Terminal St is almost fully Re-paved.

Super big man hole passed main street, had to avoid it by driving on the other side of the cones XD

When I first got my license I was going down 104th in Surrey and it was graded like that. Well I was going about 60 behind of this full patch member on a chopper which I really thought of nothing at the time. We approach a intersection and their were raised manholes of course and he slowed right down, I slammed on my breaks turned the steering wheel to the side and just fricken missed him (I'm talking less then a foot). Well man I was fricken scared shitless he looked at me was about to get off his bike and said your fucken lucky. At that time I was saying sorry non-stop I mean freaked the fucked out. He then said this was a good lesson you learned right here now don't forget it and took off on his bike.

Well I tell you what it was a fricken great lesson and now every time I approach graded pavement I slow down and leave tons of space, but man I thought I was fricken dead right there.

^Problem is lots of average ppl that use their vehicles to get from A to B dont care about graded pavement, potholes or large bumps and take them at regular speeds, so to them you're just slowing them down and delaying them a whole 4 seconds to get to their destination

Basically they're assholes and could care less about modified cars :(

thats so true. if im driving my beat up celica, i dont care about speed bumps or pot holes as much. Now if i was driving my civic, i would avoid pot holes, unpaved roads, and parking beside beated up cars.

didnt take 41 at all, took 33rd, but it was like a roller coaster on 41 with my friend's rav 4, i truly see its potential now :D

Saw this thread too late, those man hole covers r HUGE! Went 20kph the whole freaking way.

At least they're past Knight street. When they were working on 41st btween Victoria and Knight, traffic would always back up, huge since a lot of trucks use 41st to turn onto Knight.

Oh and that section of road they fixed is shit.

east bound is fully repaved. mmm mmm smooth tarmac goodness.
