doctor's notes

not for myself but for a friend...
Where can i get a doctor's note for feeling not so good yesterday? So badly that an exam was missed.. Called prof yesterday but today he demands a doctor's note...

Will doctors write a note for something that happened yesterday?

Will correct spelling mistakes or whatever when i get home, on my cellphone right now

TIA

go to the walk in clinic on Cook Road and Cooney behind Staples in Richmond,
they were my go-to place for notes during high school, they will write you a doctors note for almost anything

however, make sure you go see him for something, (like a cold, or headache), then tell him that you have been sick since yesterday and he will usually write the note saying that you saw him today, but symptom has been around since "blank date".

if you just go in to ask him for a note, I believe the clinic actually charges $30/note.

hope it helps

Yeah most clinics charge $5-15 for a note.
Also most doctors won't write you a note dated for a prior day. If you're going to skip exams you MUST go see a doctor THAT day.

back in highschool i swiped the prescription pad and doctors notepad from one of the patient rooms.

my family doctor's office was pretty small. there were 2 rooms the doctor would see you in, so the secretary called me up to go wait in room1. so i sat there for like 10 mins waiting and noticed both note pads on the desk and grabbed both lol. man that got me through high school easy

family physicians don't make a whole lot considering the effort they have to put in and the energy and investment it took to get to where they are now.

lol i have actually thought about that before..yeah must have worked very well in high school. However, i got sick last week and i got a doctor's note on the day off, the fucking lab director is still skeptical cause it was on a friday before a long weekend. he says he checks every doctor's note by calling the office

Going back to the OP, it depends on the academic policies of his/her faculty...i know for final exams for some faculties they will be give NO deferrals if you can't get your notes in on the day of the exam.

When I was in Uni I worked for a proff who also called to check on any doctor's notes that were for missed exams or for assignment extentions.

Getting caught forging a doctor's note would be an auto fail I would assume in your class if not a suspection (which could cause you to fail your whole term).

hard to believe that ur friend would be sick the day of the exam. Anyways if ur friend is still sick, goto the doctors today and get a note, stating the days u were sick. My doctor did that for me when i was feeliing like shit.

But does anyone ever goto the Doctor that first day when ur really really sick though? I usually just stay in bed all day long sleeping, only to get up to use the washroom and maybe eat.

yes she is still pretty sick... Doctor said is was a mild case of food poisoning. Apparently the doc didn't charge her for the note and even helped her pre-date it

Thanks all!
