This made me smile..

You are only as old as you feel. Impromptu piano duet by a couple married 62 years at the Mayo Clinic's atrium - they are in their 90's. I hope I'm as healthy as they are at that age.

They returned to do a concert after their video went viral. Part one of many.

Married for 62 years? I've been married for just over 25 and already want to kill the wife. In fact, in my dream world, I've killed her many times over and in so many ways.

How do they do it?

But yeah, it's a warm fuzzy right there. Kudos for them. They are one in a trillion, though, because marriage is overrated.

Ah, the 2 year itch. It passes quickly. Wait till the 5th year, if you get that far. After 10, you just go numb.

Like the old joke I've said many times before. "I love my wife more than life itself. 'Cause I gave it up when I married her."

LiquidTurbo 08-08-2010 09:53 AM

WTF 89blkcivic, its that bad eh?

There's always divorce, annulment, take-off to some far away place. Murder is only good if you cover your tracks well enough so that you won't get caught. :p

Don't jump, man. She'll get the last laugh. I intend to outlast my wife. I want to stand over her grave and piss on it. LOL

Why do you guys think I hang out here on Revscene? It's just what the doctor ordered.

That's awesome. People know that once that paper is signed, it's game over. That marriage license is like the devil's doing.

A friend of mine lived with her girlfriend for 8 years, then they decided to get married. Within two years, it ended up in divorce. They even had a daughter before they got married.

Friends of ours had a bet going when we got married that it wouldn't last more than 5 years. Hahahahaha........... every one of them are now divorced. A few of the guys I know are dirt broke and living on ramen noodles. I, on the other hand, might be a miserable old fart, but................... nvm.

So depressing, but the OP's couple - good for them.

So many people say that they are happily married, blah, blah, blah........... but that's bullshit. Behind closed doors, they're at each others' throats. How many of you saw your parents going at it when you were growin' up? "Oh dear, not in front of the children!" LOLOLOLOLOLOL

murd0c 08-08-2010 02:49 PM

it seems like this day and age people are rushing into things and are not thinking about the full picture and when times get tough they are unable to handle it. People need to slow down and not be in a hurry for marriage. I have way too many friends that have rushed into it and a couple years down the road it's over just like you said with your friends.

There is an RS user named Bradford Chow, you might recognize the name. Apparently he knows people who know people and is connected up the wazoo. I'm sure he could take care of your wife "problem" for you with relative ease.

Berz out.

Why do you think so many marriages fail?? I mean, the divorce rate is so high in the Western world.. what's it attributed to?

rien 08-08-2010 10:29 PM
