my DIY ipod dock LOL

well, i went to buy a case for my nano and this case came with a mount for a dock which it didn't come with =S so what do i do? decided to make my own dock LOL

tools i used:...
- scissors
- side cutters
- exacto knife
- permament marker
- pen
- pliers
- sand paper
- primer, colour of choice, clear coat
- & tools neccesary to take apart my dash LOL

all done within 1:30-2ish hours(:

alright so i picked this up and it came with stickers, that mounting piece, and of course the case itself.

i used the packaging the case came with to make a back rest so the ipod doesn't tip

testing, and it looks like it fits pretty snug!

i marked where i needed to cut out and i used an exacto knife and cut the whole

superglue that shiiiiiet !

i found this plastic box laying around so i decided to use it for a dock. had to cut a bit of it to make the mount fit but, looks pretty good =P

then sanded out the iskin logo and also sharp egdes, etc.

after coating it with primer, black paint, and clear coat, i've decided to put domo on it LOOL and here it is all finished.

now to reroute the ipod aux cable to the top

all back together, here it is

tada! does anyone have any suggestions on good doublesided tape that won't melt?

thanks for looking! i know i could've bought one at the night market for like $10 but i like making things LOL i might end up buying one though

Buddy, it's 100 times better than anything from the night market, because you made it yourself. Good job.

Yeah, saw you guys driving around the parking lot at very high speeds, LOL. tsk, tsk.

I actually drive by your shop quite often on my way to KMS, Ikea, Princess Auto, Lee Valley Tools, Home Depot, etc. The short cut down the Broco Auto Glass side road.
