Although my last few claims I've brought to Herberts Autobody. Good guys there. Will always try to get it right for you. Not a big budget huge shop, just hardworking car enthusiasts. Helps me fix up alot of other bodyshops poor blending.

Do they do rust repairs?

SpeedStars 09-20-2014 11:55 PM

Yes Herbert's deals with rust. Good prices too!

Pride Autoboy is cheap place to fix

VIP autobody. its run by a young guy goes by TS14 on here. they do great work!! had my truck taken in to get some scratches repaired under a vandalism claim and it came out looking like new again. so happy with the work they did. they even properly detailed my truck, washed the outside and cleaned the inside as well! the body man/manager of the shop has 35 years experience in the business, so hes damn good at what he does. recommend this shop to anyone looking to do any kind of paint or body work.

StanleyR 10-17-2014 07:19 PM

went by several body shops for quotes today incl Cosmos, Clark and integra. All were ok overall. Also they made me feel like the repairs were temporary and the rust owuld come back ten times worse. I felt depressed and wanted to sell my beloved ride until I went to see Danny at Herbert's.

He gave me a reason to keep the old girl. He gave me a price and time frame that makes me look forward to many more years with it. I didn't even have to negotiate a rate with him and he instantly offered me a rate and terms that totally suited my budget and time frame. He also let me come by regularly to take pics and document the rebuild (something many shops weren't cool with me doing).

Thanks again guys, your recommendation saved my relationship with my ride!

Has anyone every tried Cariboo collision repairs in coquitlam?

Akinari 10-29-2014 06:27 PM

Big props to VIP Autobody/Performance/Racing/Bodyshop run by none other than ts14 here for taking the time to diagnose my issues with my brakes while giving me quotes on dents and paint work. Even installed my cat-back for me!

Great guy, meticulous work, takes his time to get the job done right.

Great experience at VIP autobody, very accomodating, excellent workmanship and even went as far as doing a complete detail of my car!

You can judge his paint matching ability by this photo:

I've been going to Danny for several years now. He did all the fiberglass work on my GTR, including moulding the sideskirts to the sides. If I ever had an issue he would be sure to fix it. Repaired the front bumper on my President a couple times too. Reasonable cost, very nice guy to work with. If you're paying yourself and not a claim, he's great. I'm sure he would be too if you did have a claim.

I'm going to see him in the spring to freshen up part of my body kit, and to redo the gas tank and rear fairing on my motorcycle.

Anyone got recommendations for someone in Victoria? In a span of a month I've been rear ended and a victim of a hit and run on my TSX.

thanks,

Plus 1 for them

I work there

Hey guys, so I am looking to do some body work on my Acura TSX. Im in a pickle due to purchasing a car last year that had front end damage
-stupid me for buying it in a rush without a proper inspection from a mechanic.
and now i have a claim on the car that needs to be used to repair a hit on my bumper i received a couple months later

What I am wondering is, are there any body shops that you know of that would install a JDM front end i can order from ontario and use the ICBC claim to cover painting and labour cost of the new parts? is that possible? I found a front end from ontario with everything i need to replace ... yeah i know it sounds kinda shady but was just wondering if this could be a possibility

dont want to spend to much money on it ... -_-

Thanks in advance!

silvercivicdx 01-22-2015 11:12 PM

Yeah we can do it
U just have to pay the difference in what's not included in your icbc claim

supafamous 03-16-2015 06:49 PM

+1 to ts14 and VIP Autobody. He and his team just took care of a couple claims for me - did a really nice job with repainting the front and rear bumpers.

He also warned me about those Thursday night meets BEFORE the fight took place. +1 on being on the truth.

+2 to VIP autobody

Talk to TS14, and let him know your from RS

Just checked out the shop yesterday, its really clean and organized, his employees are knowledgeable, and just by looking at some of the work going on you can tell they know what they are doing.

Not to mention he's not going to rip you off.

I recommend KP Auto Body. The owner is superb, extremely accommodating and honest..

How honest?

Took my car in for a ICBC claim (which he did an awesome job with repairs), and I asked him for an estimate for another repair (personal damage), he gave me an estimate at $500 in repair. The guy then told me outright not to repair it as he felt the damage was not worth the cost. Don't think there's many autobody shops out there that would be this straight up. If you look at other reviews on Google about this shop, you would hear similar stories from other customers that he's had.

Highly recommended! I wish he did mechanical work too.

prolepsis 05-25-2015 09:36 PM

Just bumping this thread as I wanted to thank those who recommended VIP Autobody.

My car was rear ended recently and I was looking for a good ICBC shop, run by an enthusiast. ts14 did an excellent job and was very thorough. Was also good to just shoot the breeze about cars with him.

Thanks again!

Wanted to bump this up again since it's been about a year. Are these recommendations still good or do you guys have new shops that you'd recommend?

I'm looking to get my front and rear bumper repainted since they're in pretty bad shape. (front bumper paint is pretty pitted from sand and rear bumper has cracked paint from someone bumping the bumper when parked) This would be out of pocket so preferably lower cost is preferred.

I've had a good experience with 24hr collision on Marine Dr. and St. George. They fixed my vehicle quickly and have excellent service.

Any updates for the Vancouver area?

My GF let her brand new CRV make love to a concrete pillar, just slightly. Some might say the car caressed the pole. So new, we hadn't even washed it yet :( Looks like just paint repair, plastic replacement and wheel repair. No dent repair etc.

The car is pearl white. She is pretty bummed. Anyhow. With all these fancy cars getting smacked up in the city, we must have some pretty fantastic body shops, no?

hchang 10-31-2017 09:54 AM

^ If paying yourself go to A Jetway off main and 2nd area

If claiming go with the bigger name shops (Craftsman, Kirmac) or any Quality Assured (QA Group) bodyshop. Two I can think of off the bat are Van Burn in Burnaby or Ivan's Autobody in Vancouver.

Van Burn will also be reasonable if you want to pay out of pocket.

hud 91gt 10-31-2017 10:13 AM

I suspect it will be through ICBC. Thanks for the info.

hchang 10-31-2017 10:17 AM

Welcome.

Also forgot about Boyd Autobody and Glass. They're also a bodyshop group.

Rallydrv 11-15-2017 09:47 AM

Pender auto body. I have seen them for last 2 repairs and always have had great service. Acura sends cars for repairs to Pender from what I know
