Blood Alcohol Level

Hi everybody, I was just wondering what is the legal amount of alcohol in your blood permitted on a Class 5 license? I just got a Class 5 and just turned 19 so your answers would really help!

50 mg%, assuming that you don't drive like a moron before that level is reached as there is always section 253(a) of the Criminal Code.

The smart decision is still drinking = no driving, driving = no drinking. Then you will never have to worry.

tomato,

I'm sure you've been brainwashed in school just like the rest of us.
That bit about you just turning 19 makes it sound like:
- You're trying to make yourself sound of age
or
- You're just turning 19 and super excited to be able to drink.

As a near alcoholic, I strongly urge you to reconsider drinking and driving.
My rule of thumb is zero tolerance.
Cause it's not just "can I got 50 in a 50 zone and get home safe".
You've got to remember that there are a lot of other idiots that are:
1. bad drivers
2. new drivers
3. drunk drivers

So it's not just a matter of can you drive ok.
It's can your even slightly intoxicated self handle other which may be heavily intoxicated.
