Something wrong with my printer

I have a HP DeskJet D4360.
I just used it to print 2 days ago and it was fine.
So today, I turned it on. And it asked for paper.
I had paper in there already, so I don't get what was wrong with it.
I pushed the load tray button, and it sucks the paper in.
then shoots it out half way (without printing anything), then asks to load tray again.
So I press that load tray button, and it shoots the rest of that paper
out, and then asks me to load more paper again.

And it keeps doing that.

I was wondering if anyone know what would that mean?
Printer low on Ink? Is something physically wrong with my printer?
I tried rebooting my computer, restarting my printer, etc.

The black ink light is blinking, indicating it's low on black ink.
But would that have anything to do with it not printing and just asking
to load more paper in?

I doubt it's jammed. Otherwise it wouldn't be sucking and pulling through the paper fine...

whatever it is that reads whether it can "see" paper or not, is jammed or broken. while you see it shooting half a page out, it thinks it's still trying to grab onto a piece. take a look inside the feed and look for any stray bits of paper.

There may be a little black light in or around the feed tray that is dirty. The black light is a paper sensor and is often overlooked. They are common on HP printers.

If it helps, I used to be a printer tech back in high school and did it for about 4 years.
