there's no way my 1997 car's homelink will operate the door. Forget about it.

are you sure your homelink doesn't have rolling code?... i'm pretty sure homelink's gotta be some standardization too!

I kind of fixed the problem. It was the easy way out. I have two garage doors. One that I use to park the car and the other for storage. I just switched the logic boards around and it all works. I just need to reprogram the buttons on my Homelink............ actually, I'm too lazy and will just go with what I've got. Use the left button to open the right garage door and vice versa, LOL. Dyslexic Homelink setup.

Yeah, I remember hearing about newer technology that makes everything obsolete/incompatible. Wasn't sure when or if they were going to implement it.

That sucks, man. Homelink is so convenient. No need to take the hand held remote with you. It's built into your overhead console.

I have the purple one..... Even though the homelink should cover 315MHz I don't think it receives the correct "look forward" code back from the sender..... fuuuuuuu.

This shift is supposed to correct the problem of which the older systems interfere with military grade walkies.

Fucking hell, I nearly fell off the fucking ladder just now......... the button is purple. I didn't even have to check. My house is just under two years old. The builder is a cheap fuck, but not that cheap, I guess. The garage door opener is a Chamberlain Liftmaster built in 04/07. Purple button with a matching purple antenna wire, LOL.
