UBC Admittance

Hey everyone I'm kind of curious as how getting admitted into UBC works. I'm currently at BCIT taking a computer systems (comp sci) course and I'm interested in taking some arts at UBC, mostly history stuff.

I was never a writer or much of an arts person (hence me taking a computer course) but I've always been fascinated by all of this history stuff. I know I could easily read stuff online, but I'd much rather have the classroom experience. Doing research papers and stuff on history seems like a lot of fun imo.

If I were to apply for it, would they be looking at my high school grades? Or will they look at a combination of both? Most of my highschool courses don't really relate to arts and none of my courses at bcit even come close to it.

My GPA at BCIT right now is 73, not really sure what that is in UBC? is it 3.0? And my high school grades aren't that great, I didn't really strive hard in high school, but its a different story now.

Anyways, thanks for any advice that'll lead me in the right direction!
