Wheel bearing or other problems ?
 

Hey how u all doin ~~

I had a whoppin, hummin sound only when drive from 60-65km speed on my 2000 honda EK then I did rotate the tired, after I rotate the tire the hummin noise starts at 40-45km speed.

I just brought a new Falken 912 tireds for the rear and spector tire(used abt 1 year only)at the front so shouldnt be the tire problem

I thought it was bad or banned rims in the begining(as my right side hit and went up to the curve one time, so then I brought a new sets of rim and the problem didnt go away.

Then, I thought then its the rear bearing so I preplace both rear bearing, I thought that's where the noise comes from, but after replace both rear bearing...the sound is still there....

Should I replace the front bearing as well but since I always thought the noise was from the rear..... but i might hear wrong.. I really wanted to stop spending money on the wrong part... (might be front wheel bearing or front tired or others ?)

I don't think it's your wheel bearings, and I'll tell you why:

Wheel bearing noises start off quiet, and get louder and louder as you speed up. If one wheel bearing is particularly worn, it will be very loud when you take a corner that puts pressure on that side which is worn.

You say that the humming sound is from 60-65kph. Humming sounds that only appear in a specific range, are due to wheel or tire imbalances.

I think you need to take another look at your wheel/tire setup. Maybe take them back to the shop you had them mounted at, and get them to do a wheel balance on it. Maybe they mounted it without balancing, or maybe some of the wheel weights fell off.

I just did the wheel alingenment couple months ago , and I just took it to another shop to see, they jack up the car, I drive it with speed and the guy litsen to both sides....
turns out he said the front left wheel barring noise.... but seriuosly when i was driving I really dont' think the noise is front the front. But it is true that when i making either right or left big turns, the noise occurs a bit louder

When im goin 100+ on the highway it doesnt have to noise.... so this is really tricky,
im runing 205/40/17 on 2000 honda civic hatback, rear falken tire is 90% new and front used only a year.

Since the noise only occur when im goin 40-50, but that little noise still bothers me, I am looking to get new shocks(proby koni yellow), will that help reduce the noise at all ? Or can I just change left front bearing first and see ?

a wheel alignment doesn't balance your wheels it makes sure your wheels drive straight down the road.

you can't assume your tires are fine, ive seen tires get seperated in less than 6 months, just get them checked.

if the mechanic SAID it's a wheel bearing (granted he can diagnos properly) then it probably IS the wheel bearing

and how is replacing shocks going to reduce noise at all? you need to stop guessing and throwing parts at it. if it was diagnosed wheel bearing then change it.

Again I do recommend that you come by the shop and have us take a look at it for you instead of constantly spending time and money on self diagnosis.
