August 27th Revscene Photowalk - In The Night!
 

Hi Everyone,

Its time we did a photowalk again! Last time a group of us hit Granville Island for some shooting and learnin'. This time lets tackle the night! Here is what I have proposed:

Date: August 27th, 2010
Time: 7:00pm
Location: False Creek - Atheletes Village, Science World and surrounding area, possibly downtown - Coal Harbor/Convention Center area.
Meetup: Outside Science World front entrance

There's quite a variety of things to shoot in that area and I know a few sketchy places where there's some kick ass graffiti. YAY SKETCHY ALLEY'S WITH HOMELESS PEOPLE!

I also have a laptop skin that I'm going to randomly give away to one of the attendees. This one specifically:

Oh and if you're coming, make sure you have a tripod! it really helps! ;)

I wanna go but haven't gotten my tripod yet... argggggg.... stupid canadian custommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... why do you let me my head come if you are gonna hold my legs.... :(

I will put a maybe now, I will maybe borrow a tripod if mine doesn't arrive in time.

It will be my first outing with you guys on RS, looking forward to learn from all the talented ppl on RS.

If you could that would be amazing :) Raid3n will be joining as well, so we'll take turns with the camera. If not, I can use the surrounding objects as tripods like I did when I went to stanley park at 4am :D

I haven't been to a photowalk yet, so I'm definitely in for this one :) I might just stay downtown until we're supposed to meet up. Easier than going home, staying there for an hour and coming right back lol

Hi everyone, I will go if it is not pouring rain. Will I be the only Minolta/Alpha shooter? How much equipment are you guys bringing? I'm thinking 85mm f/1.4 G, 17-50 f/2.8, 58 Flash, 70-200 f/2.8, maybe a tripod.

I'm only going to be shooting with one lens, my 18-50 f/2.8. If you guys have a flashlight, I recommend bringing that too.

I'll see if my friend wants to come... he's a Sony shooter (A300 I think)

I will possibly join you guys...providing it doesnt pour. I will most likely have a buddy join me too.
