This is happening to every single channel. Anyone know how to reset or let is rescan all channels?

Normal. It happens when you do a reset on the shaw HD PVR boxes, I find. Wait about 15-20 minutes and it usually restores itself back to normal.

^ So how do I reset it properly? Weird how the CSR didn't tell me to reset anything on my end, but he tried resetting on his end.

Alatar 08-22-2010 08:10 PM

Unplug it, wait a moment, plug it back in. Turn it back on, see if the listing propagates after a while. Might take even half an hour or longer. I've gone through this with Shaw before too and they never seem to be able to explain it.

TOS'd 08-22-2010 08:23 PM

Unplug the power and cable? Don't need to touch the output cables right?

Alatar 08-22-2010 08:25 PM

Correct.

TypeRNammer 08-23-2010 10:17 AM

Power outage was from 12th ave to Marine Dr. From Cambie to Boundry rd.
I know along Kingsway from Victoria down had power. Some side streets had power too.
King Edward had power.
Parts of Main st. had power.

But what really annoyed me was all the people who either drove only their DRL's on, or high beams.
2 or 3 cars in each lane going through the intersection instead of one at a time like the proper way to do a 4 way stop.
But the thing that bugged me the most was all the pedistrians who decide to dart across the street. For fcuk sakes. They are wearing dark clothing, and decide to jay walk across Kingsway when they are a block away from functioning traffic lights on Victoria.

Some of the smarter people lit up their cellphones so cars can see them.

No power here. 45th and victoria.

Another substation failure. Ridiculous.

Power has been restored to thousands of customers in Vancouver after a massive outage snarled traffic and slowed trolley buses on Monday morning.

Officials with BC Hydro said about 26,000 customers south of Broadway between Cambie Street and Boundary Road lost power around 10:10 a.m. PT because of a problem at a substation.

Officials rerouted the power and restored service to most of the customers by 11:30 a.m., according to BC Hydro officials.

About 60,000 Vancouver-area customers also lost power on Saturday night because of a problem at the same substation, but officials are still investigating if the problems are connected.
