store-brought roasted whole chicken

which supermarket has the best roasted whole chicken?

hirevtuner 08-22-2010 10:05 AM

my opinion is costco, then walmart

Meowjin 08-22-2010 12:30 PM

Whenever I'm in Superstore I always see chinese people buying the disgusting roast chicken at really expensive prices. But they can't tell the difference between good and bad chicken. So I laugh.

Anyone wanna fight about this?

bcrdukes 08-22-2010 12:34 PM

In terms of dollar for dollar value, Costco has the best store-bought roasted chicken.

also in terms of taste, Costco has the best one by far. Juicy and tasty! dirt cheap too!

hal0g0dv2 08-22-2010 02:14 PM

costco, 4 sure

Kim Jong Un 08-22-2010 02:27 PM

+10312701923917203 for Costco.

orange7 08-22-2010 04:35 PM

but don't we need to have a costco membership to buy chicken there?

I usually just go to superstore and get the chicken combo deal. It's enough to feed me lunch and dinner.
I just need to cook a little pasta or rice to go with it.

eurochevy 08-22-2010 06:52 PM

costco takes it for sure

tiger_handheld 08-22-2010 07:24 PM

safeway . juicy, meaty, and fresh.

you can make it a meal by adding a baguette and coleslaw.. mmmm.

TheSalesman 08-22-2010 11:04 PM

urban fare

donjalapeno 08-22-2010 11:13 PM

not a bad business idea actually.....you can sell by portions and different varietys like cajun rub roasted chicken or teriyaki rub roasted chicken and just normal seasoned ones....like a fast food style swiss chalet with homemade baquettes and gravy made from the chicken drippings AND some good fuckin salad and fries. Dam only if i had 300+gs. But yeah i usually go to save on foods, and get 2 breaded wings to munch on my way home :)

Senna4ever 08-22-2010 11:19 PM

Whole Foods, Costco.

dinamix 08-22-2010 11:32 PM

fred meyer in the states. they cut it up for you too. 6.99

BaoXu 08-23-2010 01:54 AM

I have eaten costco's roasted chicken the most. Yeah it's juicy, but it also kinda tastes buttery...not smokey enough for me.

Try smoked chicken then, not roast chicken.

hamsup 08-23-2010 08:23 AM

I think superstore isn't too bad.... i bought one awhile back... but maybe it was good b/c i saw them putting it out on the tray and they were fresh ??

Vansterdam 08-23-2010 09:54 AM

i go with superstore cuz its closest lol

does walmart have a combo deal thing with their chicken?

Liquid_o2 08-23-2010 10:06 AM

I used to eat Safeway's all the time when I was younger. I remember it was sooooo good, especially with some potato salad and some garlic bread on the side.

saveth 08-23-2010 10:19 AM

I don't know if it's just the Safeway in my area but their chicken looks like it was boiled and roasted for 5 minutes because the skin still looks white. My vote goes to Costco and superstore a close second followed by save on foods.
