clever. A good way to bypass the food primary license.

Curious, I've heard various ways of going around restaurant bylaws. Can you elaborate more on this one?

sas 08-24-2010 09:55 PM

How long does it take for the order to process?

vafanculo 08-24-2010 10:28 PM

Is the voucher used anytime between the available dates, or do you get a timeslot where you have to use it then?

Has anyone dealt with this site before. I've never heard of it for deals of this nature.

Thanks

fliptuner 08-24-2010 10:31 PM

According to the site, you don't get comfirmation til the clock runs out (12:30) then they send you a voucher to print.

Again, it says, you can use it any time between the dates but it's recommended that you make reservations for parties of more than 4 people (I'd make reservations regardless).

overall food experience, was good.

service was good.

food was about 10-15 minute wait for every course.

parking was hard to find but managed to grab the ones on the sidewalk ?

used the indulge coupon/ certificate, so the total came up to $33.80 - 30.00 coupon.

Grand total i had to pay was 3.80 hst + tip. gave them 5 bucks.

iamon 08-30-2010 08:50 AM

thanks for the review, grabbed that coupon deal and now im looking forward to going

hotjoint 08-30-2010 10:58 AM

damn those are small portions. I was expecting more for the second course. I was interested in the souvlaki as well.

sas 08-31-2010 11:05 AM

Looks like kid sized portions. How was the quality of food? Is this is a place you'd go to again WITHOUT the coupon?

From the numerous feedback I got from personal friends of mine, they wouldn't go back even with a coupon. :p

lowside67 08-31-2010 12:01 PM

Err wtf dude, you gave them a $1.20 tip? I know your bill was only $3.80 but just because you had a coupon didnt change the amount of work that the meal was - if it was normally meant to be $33.80, you should have tipped on that amount, not on $3.80.

Or he meant, gave them $5 in tips. But I can see it go either way.;)

Yeah you're right, I guess he could have meant he gave them a $5 tip, but it reads to me: "The bill was $3.80, I gave them a $5 bill."

Hopefully he at least tipped them $5.

I absolutely hate the concept of tipping. It's like u'r paying for the services that u already paid for by the food.

:duh:

Uhh no you're not. Food is priced with the intention that you will tip the servers yourself. If the restaurant was going to pay the servers, prices would be 15% higher or whatever average the industry decided it was going to pay its servers. If this was the case, then you'd have to pay 15% more tax as well. One of the biggest reasons that YOU have to tip is so you pay less tax AND the server pays less income tax - win/win except when you get people who dont understand why this is the case.

How I wish I can remain ignorant, why do I know so much?

lowside67 08-31-2010 04:34 PM

Good stuff

rexsomnii 08-31-2010 04:38 PM

I agree. Just came back. Unfortunately, Vancouver is a very competitive market and Circa does not do anything for me. There is no incentive to return.

hotjoint 09-19-2010 04:06 PM

I have some vouchers left because some friends bailed and decided not to go. Anyone interested in some extra vouchers? I will sell them for cheap. Please pm me if interested.
