So I almost got hit by a cab today
 

BIG SURPRISE, it was a Toyota.

I was minding my own business around 4:40pm today, just biking along the seawall by Cardero park, when all of a sudden, a toyota came out of no where and drove onto the bushes nearly hitting me. (i was sitting down and taking a break)

First thing that came to my mind was "why didn't he press the brake or just pulled the e-brake?" anyhow, it provided some epic LULZ for me.

side note: there was about 80 people just standing around watching while only some asian guy and me helped the driver out, (he was okay, a bit shaken but okay) looks like the more people are in the vicinity, the more they wont help out.

almost got hit by cab driver ? welcome to the club but i admit your situation is very unique

you're lucky and so is the driver. in vancouver if you strike a pedestrian or cyclist, regardless of who is at fault, you lose your chauffeur license. unemployed instantly.

Off topic but. I was waling on a crosswalk on Sat and it was red light for the cars so I cross. One cab speed to the interscation and make a left turn and was like 2cms away from hitting me. I stare at him and he have the courage to tell me to move out of the way. WFT it was red light for him and he ASK ME TO MOVE.

So I pull my phone and let him know I cam calling 911 coz of his dangerous actions and I think his bumper have hit my legs and I need to get a check up at the hospital.

LOL he got more mad at this point just swearing and shit so I ingore him and was about to connect to 911 when he apolgize and said he is sorry. So I kinda let him know he almost injury me or even kill me and swearing at me for his mistake is not helping this easier.
