Rogers Arena Still a long time lurker, thought I'd help out a few people. I saw that Aramark is having a job fair at the Rogers Arena on September 8th from 4pm - 8pm. Craigslist posting says $12 - $17 / hr... ----------------------------- ARAMARK will be holding our annual job fair on September 8th, 2010 at Rogers Arena, home of the Vancouver Canucks. Job Requirements We will be hiring for the following departments: * Concessions * Premium * Warehouse Salary: Various. Application Process Please come to the Gate 10 area with your resume. ARAMARK will be interviewing candidates on site. ----------------------------- |
whats "Premium"? |
question for people who have been to job fairs, do we need to bring multiple prints of our resumes? |

hmm.. maybe i'll apply for concession to be a stand leader or something, they get paid like $14/hr haha |
^ Then show it off just like the $14 Dollar Baller? :D Just kidding! Go apply and good luck! :) |
do you think we will need to dress up in a suit when applying? |
So I can see this whole job fair thing being flooded on craigslist... --------------------------- Quote:
--------------------------- I'm pretty sure we'd have to go dressed appropriately for an interview! :p And yeah, bring a couple copies of your resume. I haven't been to a job fair before so this will be interesting... How does a job fair work anyways? |
Anyone work for Aramark or attended a job fair? I'm considering of applying, need a job and money haha. |
Yeah I wonder what you do in the warehouse position? Doing set ups for concert stages, ice boards, and moving shit around? |
lol, can you apply just to go watch nucks game for free? |

if i do decide to go to this job fair, i'm gonna go early. last time i attended a job fair that was advertised in the 24hrs newspaper, the line up went around the block how many times. it was probably like an hour and half wait |
I used to work for aramark at rogers arena. I started off in concession stands then was promoted to my own beer portable stand. Wicked job, good pay and great people. A plus is that I was stationed next to section 326 where the wheelchair people would watch the games so I would get to sneak some peaks when it was dead. There was also a tv above me so I would get to watch the games too  I would've kept the job but working a full time in surrey then part time in vancouver and sky training back and forth wasting 2 hours of my time wasn't worth it. |
i decided to go yesterday but didn't really get to do much in the interview since i didn't have my references or my serving it right certificate. they just told me to e-mail my info and they'll call me hopefully on friday or monday. i hope they give me a call back |

Don't worry dvxo, I forgot too. I'm sure JSALES can get a job there and hook us up :p So how was the job fair like? Tell me about it I'm very curious... Was there separate rooms? Since there was a line up, did people have to walk in one at a time? Was it like American Idol? |
I went yesterday and got there around 5:15. I would have went earlier but I had school and my last class ended at 4:20. There was a shit load of people. There was so many people that I didn't even get to go inside for the face to face interviews. A person that was working there basically cut the line at a certain point and was like "everyone behind this person will not be able to go for an interview today, if you would still like to apply please submit your resume into this box". This happened around 10-15 minutes in by the time I was lining up so I guess I didn't waste too much time. I feel bad for people who were lining up longer and then finding out that they don't even get a chance for the interview. |
