Daryl isn't in the comics. I don't even remember Beth in the comics either, she was such a minor character.

The show and the comics are two COMPLETELY different stories with a thin connection in the way the plot moves.

edit* Beth isn't in the comics either lol

StylinRed 03-11-2014 04:18 PM

Jkam obviously doesnt remember the comic

I just read something in the comments on the walking dead fb page, someone pointed out that baby Judith or Bob might be the first people immune to the virus. Bob probably got bit during the fog scene, that's why you still see him bleeding later on, and he still hasn't turned. Before that, he also survived on his own twice... plus being bit on the bandage just doesn't make any sense. Thoughts?

That would be interesting. However the walking dead was never about the big picture when it comes to zombies. Most zombie movies are about solving the problem and find a cure, saving the world, etc. But the walking dead was always about the drama and struggles among the survivors.

Well sheeeeiiit.

Sucks that Darryl isn't in the comics, not surprized that Beth isn't though.

I've been avoiding the comics all together. A friend of mine has all of them (so far) and has offered to lend them to me... I just don't know if I can bring myself to do it! Seems like the comics are a lot better than the show (story wise).

DanHibiki 03-11-2014 10:35 PM

The most addictive thing I ever read was the walking dead. Finished 90 issues in days. I just couldn't stop.

Anyways I sort of hope Darryl dies...his god mode has gone on enough. I also feel like separating the group into individual stories and focusing less on Rick are the producers way of mimicking game of thrones. A show that doesn't base the success on only one or two characters. Kill off most popular character? No problem! *show's ratings go up*

think what they meant by biting on the bandage is the zombie didnt get through the bandage and simply reopened his wound

It was fantastic up to the current arc. I haven't read the last 4-6 months issues though because it's gotten pretty stale. First 90 issues were amazing though!

lol @ stylinred. Almost had me thinking I totally forgot everything.

anxiety 03-12-2014 01:48 PM

Maybe he got bit and made an excuse with the bandages. What if he is really immune to the virus?

GLOW 03-12-2014 02:32 PM

i was expecting him to say it was the bandage where he was actually bitten and slowly turns and surprises them. didn't happen. i think i've seen too many horror movies :lol

not gonna spoiler tags as they are reserved for comic spoilers

sort of on the fence about tonight's ep
felt they really jumped the shark (if they havent already)
but i applaud the writers for killing kids..even if it was part of the comic that must've been really controversial in the editing room
got goosebumps watching it so they did a good job
and yes I like that they are focusing each ep on a smaller group...they get to develop the characters that don't normally get as much screentime...or may be I just like not having to see rick/carl every week :lol
