| Where to buy 3D Mouse?
Hey RS! Anyone know where I can buy a 3D mouse for CAD/3dmax/Sketchup? The only thing I can find is SpaceNavigator by 3dconnexion (logitech). Is there any other options?
Thanks!
Cheers!

Cheers! | I know some of the local software resellers sell them. Try IMAGINIT, or GlobalCADD.

the space pilot pro is only $199 if you are a student, or know someone who is currently a student. Everything else they have are basically half price for students.

Tablets are actually pretty good for modeling especially doing anything complex like organic/surface modeling (I model my designs in XSI with tablet way faster than using 3ds Max). The pen and tablet allows you to pick up vertices easily than a regular mouse. You'd just have to customize your CAD settings to accommodate the tablet settings and function.
