I remember playing KOF98 all the time on the PS1. Shit took forever to load, but it was so worth it. The game was just so much in-depth than Street Fighter at the time, and I've been a KOF fan ever since.

And I also remember all those times I'd blow on my SMW cartridge because it wasn't loading. I think it was a little messed too because my saves would get reset every so often, and as a kid, that shit would make you cry.

Fast forward more than a decade and I still play these games today.

LiquidTurbo 09-05-2010 07:15 AM

Super Mario world was so amazing. I'd still play that shit today if I had an snes. Makes me wanna emulate it now.

Don't care what anyone says, cause I know we all watched and jammed to these songs back in the 90s on Much Music TV when the youtubes was yet to be born.

Anyone who had satellite will remember this one:

then some of

watch even stevens (literally watched Shia LaBeouf grew up)
http://blog.pennlive.com/poprocks/me...venstevens.jpg

watch the Ducks

and then when I got older, I would watch Goldberg shoot

then maybe sneak in some Skin Deep documentary when I'm home alone and watch how surgeries were performed. Occasionally it was breast enhancements but what the heck, I was a kid and was curious.

Saw girl friends at school dressed up like Spice Girls and singing to
while the boys would automatically attach the "gay" word whenever you listend to backstreet boy, n'sync, 98 degrees or westlife cause its such a girl thing.

but I secretly liked this song

and on my first grade 6 dance, Livin La Vida Loca rocked the dance floor

Mambo No.5 was a big hit back then and square dancing was taught in PE.

With Mambo no.5 i would hum to it and switch the girl names in the song to the girls that I liked in school.

DAMMIT. Time flies by so effing fast. I miss being innocent and doing everything that I wanted. For those of you that are parents are soon to be, spend tons of time with your kid cuz they grow up FAST!

Thx for bringing back nostalgic memories. I miss the time where people would drive their cars and go on road trips without having to worry about gas prices. Not that roadtrips are uncommon now but 30 cent gas back in the early 90s was tripping!

And of all the nostalgia.. this one tops it off. I was a kid when I immigrated to Vancouver and the first thing I witnessed on TV was the Canucks and the Stanley Cup Final.

/nostalgic rant

I just ordered an arcadeVGA and a J-PAC.

I'm trying to figure out how to get the speakers to work. I figure I can strip the wires, wire them to a reciever and then get input from the computer, and I will get stereo sound.

Ebay, got the cart and ST-V motherboard in a package, since it was cheaper than just getting the motherboard. My copy of Radiant Silvergun should be arriving tomorrow! :D

Ikkaku 09-06-2010 10:18 PM

aside from the obvious boybands, these past 2 years I've been looking up songs that bring nostalgia (doesn't necessarily mean from the 90s  )

and yes I do listen to these on a daily basis.

i know fall is here but i've been wanting to dust off my Super Soaker CPS 3000 for a couple summers now but never get the chance

I remember i was like 9 or 10 and the pump was too stiff for my noodle arms. But I had to buy the best and biggest water gun to beat my friends! Gotta love the 8L water resevoir on your back though. It retailed for something like $80 LOL
