I think it's CGI.

But I would be disappointed if a tennis pro couldn't hit a bottle off the net in practice.

There's a big difference between hitting a non-moving target in a no-pressure environment, and striving to make your ball as difficult to read/be hit by the opponent.

You need to watch a pro tennis player practice sometime.
